I want to use this blog space to capture some of the ideas regarding the CIS 2615 - Introduction to Java class that I will be teaching fall 2009.
Textbook - Big Java by Cay Horstman, 3rd edition
Supplemental - Objects First With Java: A Practical Introduction Using BlueJ (4th Edition) by David J. Barnes
Additional Material - Crossword http://www.css.tayloru.edu/~sbrandle/bluej/
I will be using BlueJ as the IDE
The powerpoint slides will combine slides from both the text, Big Java and the supplemental, Objects First. The slides will include embedded web links to the texts, the java API, and the crossword puzzles.
